Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Smart City Labs, Inc. (“SCL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates smart-citylabs.com (the “Site”) and the Smart City Labs Platform — including Destination OS and the Smart City Labs Cognitive Twin (the “Platform”). We’re a Delaware corporation. You can reach us at hello@smart-citylabs.com.

2. What this policy covers

This policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information from visitors to the Site and from individuals who interact with SCL through forms, emails, calls, or meetings. It does not describe how SCL customers’ tenants’ or end users’ data is handled inside a deployed building — that’s governed by the Customer Agreement and Data Processing Addendum.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us: name, work email, company, role, portfolio scale, message content, and meeting calendar details when you fill out a contact form, request a download, or book time with the team.

Information we collect automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referrer URL, session duration, and standard server-log information. We use Google Analytics (or equivalent) configured with IP anonymization.

Information from third parties: If a partner (Calendly, LinkedIn, HubSpot, etc.) refers you to us with relevant context, we receive that context to make the conversation more useful.

4. How we use information

To respond to your inquiry, send you the resources you request, deliver our biweekly Insights digest if you opt in, run engagement diagnostics with you, improve the Site and Platform, comply with legal obligations, and protect against fraud and abuse.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share with service providers (email delivery, analytics, hosting, CRM) under standard data-processing terms; with professional advisors (attorneys, accountants, auditors) when needed; and as required by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to opt out of targeted advertising (we don’t do that). Reach us at hello@smart-citylabs.com with any request and we’ll respond within 30 days.

7. Data retention

Contact-form submissions are retained for up to 36 months unless you ask us to delete them. Insights subscriber lists are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs are retained for 90 days.

8. International transfers

Our Site and primary servers are in the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards where required.

9. Children

The Site and Platform are not directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

10. Changes

We’ll post any material changes to this policy on this page, and update the “Last updated” date above. For deployment customers, the Customer Agreement and DPA govern changes that affect tenant or end-user data inside an SCL deployment.
